In the hanok village, densely packed with about 700 houses, you will visit Gyeonggijeon, where the portrait of King Taejo Lee Seong-gye, the founder of the Joseon Dynasty, is enshrined. Near Jeondong Cathedral, where the first Catholic believers were martyred, you can feel the 500 years of the Joseon Dynasty encapsulated in a single frame of a photo, along with the scenery. As you walk a bit further, you will encounter Pungnammun, the representative gate of Jeonju from the Joseon era. The white sand beach has very fine sand mixed with shiny silver shells, and the emerald sea is as clear as crystal. ★ Hallim Park This park, which is approximately 100,000 square meters in size, has a variety of gardens that can be enjoyed in all four seasons. You can enjoy the palm tree road, Jeju stone bonsai garden, water garden, and subtropical botanical garden. The trails and shaded areas created by cedar trees and pine forests are in perfect harmony with the cool breeze blowing from the sea, allowing you to feel cool even in the middle of summer. ★ Seongeup Folk Village This folk village is which is located at the foot of Hallasan Mountain in Jeju Island, is a small village with a vast culture. ★ Gwangchigi Beach This beach is one of the Olle trails (long-distance footpath on Jeju Island). At Gwangchigi Beach, you could see the panoramic view of Seongsan Ilchulbong at a glance. Recently, Gwangchigi Beach has been attracting attention as one of the top 10 secret spots in Jeju Island. ★ Haenyeo You will meet female divers in Jeju, called Haenyeo. These sea women are female divers in Jeju, whose livelihood consists of harvesting a variety of mollusks, seaweed, and other sea life from the ocean. UNESCO added the all-female haenyeo culture to its heritage list in 2016. ★ Seongsan Ilchulbong Tuff Cone (UNESCO World Heritage) It rose from under the sea 100,000 years ago due to a volcanic eruption. There is a huge crater at the top of Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak, located at the eastern end of Jeju Island. 99 sharp rocks surround the crater, making it look like a giant crown. Then, we will pop on the tour bus and will travel along the beautiful coastline of northeastern Jeju, passing Hado Beach and Sehwa Beach before heading to Manjang Cave. ★ Manjanggul Lava Tube (UNESCO World Natural Heritage) It is one of the most beautiful lava tunnels in the world and is designated as a natural monument. Lava tunnels are formed when lava from deep underground erupts from the top and flows down to the surface.
